About Us Simplex Math, Montse Torres is a bilingual Chemical Engineer from the Monterrey Institute of Technology with a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington/ITESM.

Through her years of teaching, Montse has realized that students are more receptive to learn concepts and feel more comfortable to ask questions when he/she can establish a strong and personal rapport with the instructor, hence she communicates and interacts with them during each session.

The journey to prepare for important tests like the PSAT/NMSQT®, SAT® and ACT® can be stressful for both students and parents.

Montse wants to eliminate this stress and thanks to her experience in teaching elementary thru high school, and her exposure to the Math curriculum for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus she translates the concepts into simple strategies for these standardized tests.

This allows students to gear their efforts towards being efficient with the problem-solving process for each type of test.

Although her main experience has been in Math, per her students’ request, her program allots as many hours of practice to the English/Language/Science portions after the discussion of strategies to increase the overall score significantly.

Why Simplex

Students can achieve high scores in the standardized tests in order to submit a competitive admission application to universities and we were born after realizing that students were not getting enough training at school to prepare for the PSAT/SAT/ACT.

Some universities have minimum requirements for Math, Reading, Language and Science and we are here to help!

Preparing for the PSAT/SAT/ACT is an investment to your student’s future with potential financial incentives from universities.
